Going green – this is not a political statement!   We are concerned about global warming and saving a polar bear or two, but the main concern is saving $$ (and the environment in the process)!  Installing solar panels and windmills may cost a bit more at the outset but will reduce energy costs by thousands in the long run. 

Little America will be as environmentally friendly as possible.   Plans are in the works for solar panels to be on all of the houses and surrounding structures so that they will cut costs for the villagers and improve the environment at the same time.  We are also looking into hybrid vehicles for usage village wide.  

Windmills are planned to help support the electric grid for Little America.  A massive recycling center will be a part of the village – nothing will be wasted and it will serve the entire Richland community!  If possible – a Hydrogen Cell Refueling point will also be incorporated in the village – the very first in the area!
